Scholarships

Each year the AMC awards several music scholarships that are paid directly to the student’s choice of a university music program or a summer music camp. In 2024 our awards totaled $36,000! In 2025 our awards totaled $38,750!

The AMC scholarship competition was held from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center on the Morehouse College campus. Winners are posted here, plus notified via email around April 01, 2025.

Awards for piano scholarships are made possible due to the generosity of the late Elizabeth Abbott Taylor.

Awards for instrumental and voice scholarships are due to the generosity of the late Ruth Carter and the late Emily Grigsby.

The discrepancy in scholarship amounts between piano and instrumental/vocal scholarships reflects the size of the designated funds. Your donations to the scholarship fund are appreciated and will allow for a more even distribution.
